State Budget for 2026 Reaches 79,624 Billion Dinars
The state budget for the year 2026 has reached 79,624 billion dinars, according to data presented by the Minister of Finance, Michkat Slama Khlidi, during a joint hearing session held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, before the Finance and Budget Committee at the People's Representative Assembly (ARP) and the Finance and Budget Committee at the National Council of Regions and Districts.
Key Highlights of the 2026 State Budget
- The state budget for 2026 records an increase of 3.9% compared to the expected results for the year 2025.
- The public debt service for the year 2026 amounts to 23,057 million dinars (MD), representing a decrease of 1.3% compared to the expected results for the year 2025.
- The estimated public debt service for 2026 accounts for 29% of the state budget volume and 12.3% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), compared to 32% and 14.2% respectively expected for the current year.
