Tunisian Infrastructure Projects: Updates and Timelines

Abdelfateh Brahem, a member of the executive board of the National Federation of Building and Public Works Entrepreneurs (FNEBTP), announced on Thursday that the southern entrance of the capital will be operational by summer 2026.

During his appearance on Jawhara FM earlier today, Brahem specified that the progress rate of the Tunis-Jelma highway construction has currently reached 35% and is expected to be completed by summer 2027.

Regarding the highway connecting the delegation of Bou Salem in the Jendouba governorate to the Algerian border, he indicated that "the studies are completed and the tender dossier is being prepared, with work scheduled to begin next year".

On the delays recorded in public projects, Brahem highlighted the existence of several factors, such as administrative issues and weather conditions, which slow down the progress of work, adding that the new incentives in the sector have encouraged entrepreneurs to work seriously to complete projects within the set deadlines.
