Meeting at the Pasteur Institute to Discuss Accreditation of Biological Diagnostic Laboratories
The headquarters of the Pasteur Institute hosted a meeting on Wednesday with the heads of biological diagnostic laboratories, in the presence of the Institute's Director General and the Director of the Laboratory Unit at the Ministry of Health. This meeting was an opportunity to discuss the necessary steps for the accreditation of biological diagnostic laboratories according to the ISO 15189:2022 standard. The goal is to strengthen quality management systems and ensure the reliability of results, while respecting international standards in the service of public health. It is worth noting that the International Organization for Standardization published the new ISO 15189 standard in December 2022, which defines the quality and competence requirements for medical laboratories.
