The Test Against Brazil Will Be the Toughest and Most Instructive
The national team coach, Sami Trabelsi, has announced the list of players called up to the Tunisian national team to play three friendly matches against Mauritania, Jordan, and Brazil.
The Tunisian team will begin this preparation phase by facing Mauritania tonight. They will then play against Jordan on November 14, before traveling to Lille, France, to face Brazil on November 18.
This match has raised many questions. Why Brazil, a team of very high level? The answer seems simple: if we want to really progress, we need to measure ourselves against the best. This encounter is indeed difficult, but it is the best way to identify and correct our weaknesses. Moreover, it's not every day that we have the opportunity to meet teams of this value, and it's Brazil who requested this match.
Of course, the list includes the top players, experienced athletes who form the backbone of the team. They are a group accustomed to tough matches and have the merit of knowing what they are doing on the field. Their main quality, which they have demonstrated, is their ability to adapt immediately to changes that occur during the game. This quality is what motivated the Brazilian choice to play against the Tunisian team.
Let's recall that this program was designed in preparation for the Arab Cup, which will take place in Qatar from December 1 to 18, and the Africa Cup, which will be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 28, 2026. For these two important appointments, the Tunisian team must have a solid and united backbone.
The Brazilian Team
The Brazilian coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has announced the list of Brazilian players called up for the upcoming friendly matches against Tunisia and Senegal. Almost all the top players will be there, except for Neymar, who is announced to be absent.
However, we note that two players from the Saudi Professional League are included in the group: goalkeeper Pinto from Al-Nassr and midfielder Fabinho from Al-Ittihad. The Brazilian team will face Senegal on Saturday, November 15, at the Emirates Stadium in London, and will play against Tunisia on Tuesday, November 18, at the Stade Décathlon in Lille, France. During the last international break, the Brazilian national team played two Asian matches, winning 5-0 against South Korea but losing 3-2 against Japan.
