Large-Scale Acquisition Operation for Cleaning and Road Equipment Underway in Tunisia
A massive grouped acquisition operation for cleaning and road equipment is currently underway, involving over 200 Tunisian municipalities, with a total value exceeding 100 million dinars. The initiative includes the purchase of 460 vehicles and 7,300 metal containers with a capacity of 770 liters, according to a response from the Ministry of Interior, dated October 9, to a written question addressed by MP Noura Chebchrek.
Key Details of the Operation
The Ministry specified that a portion of the common funds is regularly mobilized as exceptional support, through the local affairs program, to strengthen the cleaning and environmental protection sector.
- An envelope of 6 million dinars has been allocated to regional councils.
- 6.7 million dinars have been dedicated to repairing defective equipment and providing external cleaning services to 78 municipalities.
- Specific support of around 97 million dinars has been reserved for the acquisition of equipment for new and expanded municipalities, broken down as follows:
- 56 million dinars for new municipalities.
- 41 million dinars for expanded municipalities.
This large-scale operation aims to enhance the cleaning and road equipment of Tunisian municipalities, promoting a cleaner and healthier environment for citizens.
