Promotion of Electric Mobility and Micro-Mobility in Tunisia
The Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Wael Chouchane, chaired a working session on Friday, October 10, at the ministry's headquarters, dedicated to promoting electric mobility and micro-mobility in Tunisia.
Attendees and Objectives
This meeting was attended by representatives of the Cluster Mecatronic Tunisie, Hichem Turki, General Director of the Novation City development pole in Sousse, Nafeh Baccari, General Director of the National Agency for Energy Management (ANME), and Fathi Sehlawi, General Director of Manufacturing Industries. The participants examined several innovative projects related to electric mobility, electric vehicle components, and sustainable energy production solutions.
Strategic Orientations
The Secretary of State highlighted the ministry's strategic orientations, which aim to:
- Finalize the legislative framework governing electric mobility
- Encourage local manufacturing of components for electric vehicles
- Promote energy conversion of industrial uses to strengthen the sector's competitiveness
Cluster Mecatronic Tunisie
The Cluster Mecatronic Tunisie brings together 75 industrial companies operating in the fields of mechanics, electricity, electronics, metallurgy, plastics, and information technology. The group works to stimulate collaborative innovation and strengthen synergies between industrialists, researchers, and technology centers, particularly in the sectors of electronics, micro-mobility, and semiconductors.
