National Defense Ministry Launches Palm Grove Rehabilitation Project

The National Defense Ministry has launched a project to rehabilitate 1,050 hectares of palm groves in the Al-Mohaddath region, located in the Kébili governorate. This project, with a total cost of 267 million dinars, aims to develop 12 integrated units with all basic infrastructure and is expected to create numerous job opportunities for the region's inhabitants.

Project Announcement and Budget Adoption

The announcement was made on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, during a joint plenary session between the Assembly of People's Representatives and the Council of Regions and Districts, dedicated to adopting the 2026 budget for the National Defense Ministry, set at 5,014.008 million dinars, compared to 4,445 million in 2025.

Presentation of Civil Projects

During this session, the Minister of Defense presented, in addition to the army's security role in protecting land and sea borders, several civil projects implemented by the military institution, such as the one already completed in the Rjim Maatoug area.
