Tunisian Prime Minister Embarks on Official Visit to Kenya for Africa-France Summit
On the instructions of His Excellency, President of the Republic, Mr. Kaïs Saïed, Tunisian Prime Minister, Madame Sara Zaafrani Zenzri, will undertake an official visit to the Republic of Kenya from May 10 to 12, 2026, to participate in the Africa-France Summit, themed "Africa Forward: Partnerships for Innovation and Growth," on May 11 and 12, 2026, in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital.
The Africa-France Summit will be co-chaired by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit will bring together several African heads of state and government, featuring plenary sessions focused on the following topics:
- Transition to Renewable Energy and Green Industrialization: Exploring ways to transition to renewable energy sources and promote green industrialization in Africa.
- Peace and Security: Discussing strategies to maintain peace and security in Africa.
- Reforming the Global Financial System: Examining the need for reforms in the global financial system to better serve African interests.
In addition to these plenary sessions, the summit will feature four dialogue sessions on:
- Strengthening Resilient National Health Systems and Promoting Local and Regional Production: Focusing on strengthening national health systems and promoting local and regional production to consolidate Africa's sovereignty in healthcare.
- Developing Sustainable High-Value Agriculture: Exploring ways to develop sustainable high-value agriculture in Africa.
- Harnessing the Potential of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies: Discussing the potential of artificial intelligence and digital technologies to promote sustainability and economic growth in Africa.
- Unlocking the Potential of the Blue Economy: Examining the potential of the blue economy to drive growth and development in Africa.
The summit aims to establish balanced economic partnerships, driven by innovation, inclusive growth, and concrete solutions to common challenges. The Prime Minister will participate in plenary sessions, dialogue sessions, and a series of bilateral meetings.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a delegation consisting of officials from the Presidency of the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, as well as the Director-General of the Agency for the Promotion of External Investment.
