French Embassy in Tunisia Awards Badreddine Ouali with National Order of Merit

The French Embassy in Tunisia announced on its official Facebook page on Saturday, November 1, 2025, that it has awarded Mr. Badreddine Ouali, President of the Tunisia Development Foundation and founder of Vermeg, with the insignia of Knight of the National Order of Merit.

Ceremony Details

The ceremony took place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in the presence of institutional partners and representatives of French, German, and Emirati cooperation, who support the Tunisia Development Foundation in implementing structural projects for employment and training.

Achievements of the Tunisia Development Foundation

Since its creation, the Tunisia Development Foundation has opened five Elife training centers in different regions of the country, creating over 4,500 jobs and offering numerous young people concrete opportunities for qualification and professional integration. The foundation is also behind The Dot, an innovation incubator that has become a reference in the Tunisian entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Future Plans

In his speech, Mr. Ouali reaffirmed his commitment to offering Tunisian youth the best opportunities throughout the country, a conviction shared by the French Development Agency (AFD) and Expertise France, partners of the foundation for the upcoming opening of three new Elife centers and the regional deployment of The Dot.
