Tunisian Government Chief Sarra Zafrani Zanzeri Welcomes Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb
The head of the Tunisian government, Sarra Zafrani Zanzeri, welcomed Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the presidential pavilion of Tunis-Carthage Airport. The Prime Minister arrived for a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between Tunisia and Algeria.
Purpose of the Visit
This visit coincides with the 23rd session of the Tunisian-Algerian Joint Commission and the Tunisian-Algerian Economic Forum, which will be co-chaired by the two leaders. These meetings aim to inject new momentum into the economic, political, and security relations between the two countries.
Shared Will for Cooperation
According to the government presidency, the holding of this commission reflects the shared will of President Kaïs Saïed and Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to deepen the bonds of fraternity, cooperation, and good neighborliness. The two countries wish to raise their partnership to a higher level, in the common interest and in response to the expectations of both peoples.
