Catastrophic End to the Season: CAB Finishes with Zero Points
The Press — A Complete Collapse at CAB?
Never in the history of the club, the CAB, have they ended a season as poorly as this one. A precipitous fall... We thought the last home loss to ASM was just a one-off and that the CAB would bounce back in their final match of the season, finishing strong in front of their fans. But what a surprise for the "yellow and black" fans to see their team, unrecognizable, suffer another defeat at the hands of ESZ in their own stronghold. Even coach Sofiane Hidoussi was shocked by his team's performance. "When I left the CAB at the start of the season, it was not in this situation. Even with six or seven missing players, there should be five others who form the core and should serve as the driving force," he said after the match. And, looking worried and with a haunted expression, he added, "There are things I cannot say. It's better to leave it at that. Now, we need to prepare for the Coupe match against the same opponent in Zarzis, that's the most pressing task." As for the match, he was not very talkative: "The CAB started well, but it quickly went downhill for us. In the second half, we were far from our usual form." We can only hope that Guesmi, Kchok, Doukali, Dridi, Rhimi, Fonseca, and Ayendi, all absent, will be back for the Coupe match. This is the only valid argument that keeps hope alive in the Bizertin camp... Can coach Hidoussi transform the team in such a short time? We'll find out in ten days...
