Sidi Bouzid Commemorates the Spark of the Revolution

The governorate of Sidi Bouzid commemorated the 15th anniversary of the outbreak of the first spark of the revolution on Wednesday, in the presence of the region's governor, citizens, military and security officials, representatives of national organizations, and members of the regional and local councils. The official ceremony, held on Mohamed Bouazizi Square, was marked by a salute to the national flag and the firing of 17 cannon shots, in tribute to the historic significance of this founding event. Commemorative events began on Tuesday, marked by the display of banners calling for the freedom of peoples, national unity, and the country's sovereignty.

Bizerte Celebrates with Patriotic Fervor

In Bizerte, the celebration was marked by a salute to the national flag, to the rhythm of the national anthem, under the presidency of the governor. In a speech, he highlighted the values of sacrifice and dedication symbolized by this date and other major national events, emphasizing the need to continue collective efforts, preserve the country's security, and consolidate trust in the ability of its citizens to assume the heritage and work towards sustainable development.

Gabès Hosts a Festive and Diverse Program

In Gabès, in parallel with the official ceremony, the regional commission for youth and sports organized a festive and diverse program, covering various spaces of youth houses and rural clubs in the region. The program was articulated around sports competitions, tournaments, cultural evenings, and socio-educational activities. Among the flagship activities were sports tournaments organized at the Saniat El Bey youth complex in Gabès, under the slogan "No to violence, yes to tolerance," as well as cultural meetings at the Oudherf Youth House.

Kasserine Pays Tribute to the Martyrs

In Kasserine, an official ceremony was held on Wednesday morning at the governorate headquarters, under the presidency of the region's governor and in the presence of regional and local officials, security and military personnel, and representatives of national organizations. The ceremony included the raising of the national flag to the sound of the national anthem, as well as a moment of reflection in memory of the martyrs of the homeland, in an atmosphere imbued with recognition of the sacrifices of Tunisians.

Manouba Honors the Memory of the Martyrs

In Manouba, the event was celebrated through an official ceremony opened by a salute to the national flag, to the sound of the national anthem, with the participation of army, security, and national guard formations. The ceremony took place in the presence of the family of martyr Ali Cherni (Daouar Hicher) and several wounded revolutionaries, reviving the memory of the events that followed the spark from Sidi Bouzid and the popular protests that Manouba experienced, which cost the lives of seven martyrs and injured 105 people.
