Ten Awards for Research, Development, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship

Ten awards focusing on research, development, innovation, and entrepreneurship were presented to companies and young Tunisian entrepreneurs at the 2nd edition of the "TEX AWARDS" competition, held on Friday in Tunis, an initiative of the Tunisian Federation of Textile and Clothing (FTTH).

  • The exporting company "Altutex Groupe" won the award in the digital field.
  • The startup "Green Nonwomen Visline", specializing in transforming textile waste into sustainable and eco-responsible solutions, received the "Influential Startup" award.
  • The company "Trading Logistic Service", specializing in textile platforms and packaging, received the "Distinguished Export" award.
  • The Textile Arts Company "Sartex", specializing in the production of finished denim products, was distinguished in the "Sustainable Textile (Green Textile)" category.

Awards for Research, Development, and Innovation

The award for research, development, and innovation was attributed to the company "Vizmerald", specializing in the creation of connected electronic products and intelligent 3D graphic simulations. The Ksour Essef Textile Training Center was rewarded in the "Training" category.

Young Leaders and Pioneering Women

Walid El Ghoul and Abir Obeid were distinguished in the "Young Leaders" category. In the "Pioneering Women" category, the award was won by Salwa Zouari. The ready-to-wear brand "Kontact" was also awarded in the "Tunisian Brand" category. Finally, the Mesjed Aïssa Confection (MACO) company was distinguished in the "Influential Personalities" category.

Tribute to the Builders of the Textile Sector

During the ceremony, chaired by the Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Fatma Thabet Chiboub, a tribute was paid to the builders of the textile sector, namely Abdelaziz Dahmani, Béchir Saïdani, Anis Saïdani, and Helmi Kâali.

Objective of the TEX AWARDS Competition

The "TEX AWARDS" competition aims to reward innovative companies and highlight success stories that can inspire young promoters and startups, in order to stimulate creativity and innovation even further.

The Textile and Clothing Sector in Tunisia

The textile and clothing sector has 1,365 companies, employing more than 160,000 people, according to data from the Ministry of Industry. It also includes 200 integrated companies with a global positioning and entirely focused on export. The sector's exports are expected to exceed 9 billion dinars by the end of the current year.
