Tunisian Player Moez Echargui Set to Compete in Dubai ATP 500
The Tunisian tennis professional Moez Echargui, currently ranked 139th in the world, will take part next week in the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). The event, boasting a prize pool of 3.3 million AED, is scheduled from February 23 to March 1 and will be played on hard courts.
Thanks to a wild‑card entry, Echargui gains direct access to the main draw, where he will face an opponent emerging from the qualifying rounds.
Just a week earlier, also as a wild‑card entrant at the ATP 500 in Doha, Echargui’s run was halted in the Round of 16 after a straight‑sets loss to Greek player Stefanos Tsitsipas (world No. 33), with a scoreline of 6‑4, 6‑4.
