Mohamed Kessouri Unveils Details of External Recruitment Competition for Secondary, Technical, and Artistic Education Teachers for 2026

Mohamed Kessouri, Director of Professional Competitions at the Ministry of Education, revealed the details of the external recruitment competition for secondary, technical, and artistic education teachers for the 2026 year. During a radio intervention, he confirmed that this competition aims to select 1,620 candidates for the position of secondary and technical education teacher.

The uniqueness of this competition lies in the fact that admitted candidates will be able to join their posts directly at the beginning of the next school year, without going through the joint training phase between the Ministries of Education and Higher Education. This measure aims to strengthen pedagogical stability and fill vacant positions in schools within the required deadlines.

A record turnout and the grand return of national competitions

Mohamed Kessouri welcomed the "grand return of national competitions," highlighting that this edition differs radically from the old "CAPES" system. He revealed that the number of candidates who presented the competition exceeded 66,000 applicants, across all specialties.

Results of the competition and recruitment details

Mr. Kessouri added that the final proclamation of the competition results will take place after the 2026 baccalaureate control session, "in order not to disrupt this national rendezvous." He reaffirmed the ministry's concern to ensure optimal conditions for all national events.

A rigorous organizational protocol, similar to that of the baccalaureate

The Director of Professional Competitions specified that this competition is subject to a protocol identical to that of the baccalaureate exams in terms of securing subjects, transportation, and surveillance. A close coordination has been established with various stakeholders, primarily the Ministry of the Interior - to secure all stages of the process, from transporting subjects to collecting candidates' copies - and the Ministry of Transport to provide the necessary logistical support.

Interministerial national cooperation

Finally, Mr. Kessouri emphasized that the preparation of this competition was made in collaboration with several ministerial structures, mainly the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, and the Ministry of Employment, in addition to regional and national commissions. In this regard, a central role was attributed to the pedagogical commission for the elaboration of subjects and the follow-up of the different stages of the exams.
