Deadline for Regularization of Temporarily Registered Vehicles in Tunisia
Colonel Chokri Jabri, official spokesperson for Tunisian customs, reminded the public on Friday, October 10, 2025, that October 31 is the deadline for submitting regularization files for cars and motorcycles registered under the temporary admission regime (N.T.) for at least two years. This regularization allows owners to pay only 30% of the total amount of taxes and customs duties normally due.
During his phone intervention on the "Yom Saïd" (Happy Day) show, he added that December 31, 2025, is the ultimate deadline for the effective payment of these taxes and duties.
Exemption from Customs Fines
Colonel Jabri also specified that October 31 is the deadline to benefit from the exemption of fines related to customs disputes. For cases that do not involve the payment of customs duties and taxes (such as smuggling or detention of goods subject to proof of origin), amnesty is granted by paying:
- 10% of the value of seized goods, effective.
- Or 20% of the value of symbolically seized goods.
Finally, he recalled that conciliation or amnesty requests can be submitted via the website of the General Directorate of Customs or the electronic link services.douane.gov.tn.
