Tunisian Duo Wins Bronze Medal in African Table Tennis Championships
Tunisian players Fadwa Garci and Abir Haj Salah won the bronze medal in the women's senior doubles event at the African Table Tennis Championships held in Radès on Tuesday, after losing to Egyptian players Hana Goda and Dina Meshref 0-3 (8-11, 5-11, 2-11) in the semi-finals.
The pair of Fadwa Garci and Abir Haj Salah had previously defeated the Algerian duo Amina Kessassi and Malissa Nasri 3-0 (11-7, 11-8, 11-6), the Beninese pair Ziadath Akadiri and Madinath Yessoufou 3-0 (11-7, 11-8, 11-9), and the Rwandan duo Regine Mbabazi Twizerane and Diane Uwaze 3-0 (11-5, 11-1, 11-9).
The African Championships will continue until October 19 and serve as a qualifying event for the 2026 World Team Table Tennis Championships in London.
