Geneva Public Transport Company Donates 200 Buses to Tunisia
The Geneva Public Transport Company (TPG) signed a donation contract on Wednesday with the Tunis Transport Company (STT), providing for the transfer of approximately 200 buses equipped with thermal engines to Tunisia. The Tunisian side will ensure the maritime transport of the vehicles across the Mediterranean, as well as their insurance, according to Swiss media.

Background and Context
This initiative is part of the Tunisian government's efforts to improve public transportation. A Ministerial Council, held on July 23 in the presence of Prime Minister Sara Zafrani, examined the development of the national land transport fleet and the arrival times of new buses from several countries.
Objectives and Expected Outcomes
The agreement with Switzerland is among the urgent measures aimed at strengthening the vehicle fleet and reducing the difficulties of citizen mobility, pending the implementation of a comprehensive strategy to modernize the sector, according to the official statement.
