Train Users Protest in Kalâa Kebira

This morning, train users, mostly subscribers, organized a 30-minute protest at the Kalâa Kebira train station. They were demonstrating against the cancellation of the Sousse-Tunis train, which was cancelled throughout last week and the beginning of this week, despite being listed in the official schedule.

Mohamed Ali Sghaier, a daily commuter, expressed his anger towards the "inhumane conditions" of the journey, particularly the overcrowding, which leads to "congestion and chaos". He reported that the protesters are determined to obtain their right to regular transportation, which "preserves their dignity" and allows them to reach their workplace in the capital in acceptable conditions.

This protest follows numerous other demonstrations that have taken place in recent years for the same reasons. Despite letters sent to the relevant authorities, Mr. Sghaier emphasized that these difficulties have still not been resolved.
