One of the Ships of the Global Fleet to Break the Gaza Strip Blockade, Sumud, Successfully Entered Gaza's Territorial Waters

This Thursday morning, one of the ships of the Global Fleet to break the Gaza Strip blockade, Sumud, successfully entered Gaza's territorial waters, now only 8.4 nautical miles (approximately 13 km) from the coast, according to information published on the official Facebook page of the Maghrebian Fleet Soumoud.

Updates from the Fleet

Activists on board the fleet also indicated, in social media posts, that the ship "Mecano Al-Bira" had crossed the maritime borders of the sector, specifying that other ships are still holding on and continuing their navigation towards Gaza.

Intercepted Ships and Arrests

Meanwhile, members of the fleet's legal team confirmed that 20 ships have been intercepted, including four carrying Tunisians, and that contact has been lost with 14 other ships. They added that the arrested individuals have been gathered on board the ship "Johannesburg", en route to the port of Ashdod, where Palestinian lawyers from the 48th region are expected to follow up on their situation and provide the latest updated information.
