Tunisian Shipping Company Prepares for Summer 2026 Season

The Tunisian Shipping Company (CTN) has announced a schedule of 149 maritime crossings to facilitate the return of Tunisians living abroad during the summer season of 2026. These rotations will be divided between 82 routes on the Marseille line and 67 on the Genoa line.

Speaking on the national radio on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, Amel Ben Rajeb, the company's commercial director for passenger transport, stated that the company plans to accommodate a total of 433,000 passengers and 126,000 vehicles. This capacity will be ensured by the Tanit and Carthage ships, which will operate during the summer season starting on June 15, 2026. As of now, 136,000 reservations have already been made.

In an effort to strengthen its services for Tunisians living abroad from the southern regions, the CTN has also planned 9 additional crossings on the Zarzis line.

Regarding logistical preparations, the responsible official mentioned that the company has engaged in maintenance and preparation operations for its fleet, while implementing a program aimed at improving its performance and increasing its capacity to receive passengers.

On the pricing front, 31% of the total capacity will be offered at preferential rates, with discounts ranging from 25% to 39%. Several formulas are being implemented, including the "family" tariff, the "Marjane" tariff (discounts of 14% to 31%), and the "Marhba" tariff, designed for passengers traveling without vehicles, with discounts ranging from 38% to 40%.

The commercial director emphasized the importance of advance reservations, reminding listeners that sales have been open since December 2025. She also mentioned that the company offers a payment plan, with a 15% deposit at the time of booking and the balance paid 45 days before departure.
