Tunisian Minister of National Defense Receives AFRICOM Commander
The Minister of National Defense, Khaled Sehili, received General Dagvin Anderson, Commander of the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), on Wednesday at the ministry's headquarters. This visit marks General Anderson's first trip to Tunisia since taking office.
On this occasion, the minister congratulated the American general on his appointment and wished him full success in his new functions, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defense.

For his part, the AFRICOM commander indicated that this meeting represents an opportunity to explore new perspectives for cooperation in the face of regional and international security challenges. He praised the solidity of the relations between the two countries and the leading role played by Tunisia in consolidating security and stability in North Africa and the Sahel.
- General Anderson also reaffirmed the commitment of the American administration to continue supporting the efforts of the Tunisian Ministry of Defense to strengthen the capabilities of the national army.
