National Office for Civil Protection Issues Weather Warning
The National Office for Civil Protection issued a statement on Monday, advising citizens to stay away from wadis and areas that may be flooded. It recommends avoiding approaching places that may be affected by heavy flooding, particularly near wadis and hydraulic installations, due to expected weather disturbances this evening. The office also calls on citizens not to cross wadis under any circumstances, in order to avoid serious accidents, and recommends moving to higher areas, especially for those living in low-lying areas or in mobile homes such as tents and canvas houses.

Citizens are also invited to:
- Check the drainage canals for rainwater around houses and businesses to avoid any accumulation of water or infiltration inside
- Avoid parking their cars under trees during strong winds and storms to prevent material damage
- Contact the civil protection services at the number 198 in case of emergency
Weather Forecast
According to the National Office for Civil Protection, the weather will be marked this evening by the appearance of stormy clouds accompanied by rain in the western regions of the north and center, and will then gradually extend to the eastern part of the country with sometimes abundant precipitation, particularly in the governorates of Jendouba, Le Kef, Siliana, Béja, Bizerte, and later in the day, in Zaghouan, Greater Tunis, Nabeul, and Sousse. The quantities will vary between 30 and 50 millimeters and reach 70 millimeters, with heavy hail, lightning, and gusts of wind temporarily exceeding 90 km/h during the appearance of stormy clouds. The precipitation will continue on Tuesday in the north and center of the country and will be temporarily stormy and locally abundant in the afternoon, it added.
