National Security Forces Arrest 14 Minors Over Hay Hlel Brawl

The National Security Forces of Séjoumi, in coordination with the National Security Center of Sidi Bechir, carried out arrests two days ago of 14 minors aged 13 to 16 who were involved in a street fight in the Hay Hlel district.

What happened?

  • The teenagers threw stones and solid objects at vehicles and police patrols, causing material damage to several cars.
  • Among the suspects, one minor was armed with a large sword, which he admitted using during the violence and related thefts.

Charges filed

The detainees have been indicted for:

  • Participation in a brawl
  • Possession and carrying of unauthorised bladed weapons
  • Throwing stones, solid objects, and fireworks
  • Assault on a public official while the official was performing his duties
