Ministry of Finance Grants Exceptional Exemption to Rachid Batita
The Ministry of Finance has granted, through a decree published on December 5, 2025, in the Official Journal, an exceptional exemption allowing Rachid Batita to continue his functions as Director General of STB for a period of one year, starting from December 1, 2025. Initially appointed as Director General on June 24, 2024, Batita succeeded Nabil Frini, after a period of interim management. His career at STB dates back to March 1990 and has been enriched with over three decades of experience in strategic positions: Regional Director, Central Director of Human Resources, Head of the "Support & Means", "Operations", and "Commercial & Networks" departments. This renewal of mandate appears as a strong signal of managerial stability, in a context of recovery for the public bank. The decision also testifies to the trust given to Batita to continue internal reforms and consolidate the bank's performance. In this regard, STB confirms its direction: improving operational efficiency, strengthening its commercial network, increasing banking and support for the Tunisian economy. This continuity in general management aims to carry the bank towards a more stable future, while ensuring the trust of depositors and partners.
