Official Statement: Sudden Departure of Coach Lassâad Dridi from Stade Tunisien
The official spokesperson for Stade Tunisien, Badreddine Nacef, has confirmed the sudden departure of coach Lassâad Dridi from the Bardo team, describing Dridi's actions as a "flagrant breach of contractual and moral commitment to the team".
Nacef added, in a statement to the Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) agency on Monday, December 15, 2025, that his team had heard rumors since last Friday regarding Dridi's arrival, who had signed with Stade Tunisien just a few days earlier, to the Algerian championship. These rumors intensified until Sunday evening, after which they contacted him urgently. Dridi then confirmed the information, expressing his urgent desire to leave Stade Tunisien.
Badreddine Nacef expressed the discontent of the large family of the Green and Red club towards Dridi's behavior towards his original club, adding that "the outstanding results achieved by Stade Tunisien in recent years have attracted more attention and made it a target for many clubs at national and international levels to recruit its brilliant players and successive members of its technical staff".
He explained that the identity of the new coach will be revealed in the coming hours, emphasizing that good preparation for upcoming events, particularly the second phase of the Professional Football League 1 championship, is an absolute priority within the team.
It is worth noting that Lassâad Dridi had signed with Stade Tunisien at the end of November, succeeding Chokri Khatoui, who had left the team after an experience that began in March 2025.
