Spain to Ban Entry of Two Zionist Officials
Spain will now ban the entry of two Zionist officials into its territory, following Madrid's presentation of new measures to increase pressure on the Zionist entity to stop its genocide in Gaza, announced Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares on Tuesday. The two "ministers", named Ben Gvir and Smotrich, have been included "in the official list of sanctioned individuals" and "will not be able to access Spanish territory", indicated Minister Albares. This decision comes after Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced a series of measures to increase pressure on the Zionist entity, which has been carrying out a genocidal aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
New Measures to Increase Pressure
As part of these measures, Sanchez stated that individuals "directly involved in the genocide, violating human rights, and committing war crimes in Gaza" will be banned from entering Spain. He also emphasized that, although Spain has been applying a de facto arms export ban to the Zionist entity since 2023, the government will now urgently legislate to establish a "permanent" ban.
Other Measures
Other measures include:
- A ban on imports from illegal colonies in Palestinian territories, particularly in the occupied West Bank
- An increase in Spain's contribution to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) by 10 million euros
These measures demonstrate Spain's commitment to holding the Zionist entity accountable for its actions and to supporting the Palestinian people.
