Municipal Police in Sousse Conduct Operation to Combat Anarchic Occupation of Public Space
On Tuesday, municipal police units in the Riadh neighborhood of Sousse seized 950 used clothing items, as well as quantities of fruits and vegetables and weighing equipment, as part of a field campaign aimed at combating the phenomenon of anarchic occupation of public space.
During this operation, four sanitary infractions were also identified, according to a statement released by the Sousse municipality.
This intervention was carried out in coordination between the Riadh neighborhood police station, the police rescue brigade serving the southern zone of Sousse, and municipal coordination agents.
The municipality emphasizes that this campaign is part of the ongoing efforts to curb illegal forms of sidewalk occupation and enforce existing regulations.
It also highlights that these operations aim to preserve public health, ensure citizen safety, and maintain environmental cleanliness.
