Temporary Ban on Navigation and Fishing Activities in Sousse
The authorities of the Sousse governorate have announced a temporary ban on navigation and all fishing and aquaculture activities along the coastal region. This measure will apply on Sunday, February 15, Monday, February 16, and Tuesday, February 17, due to unfavorable weather forecasts. According to a statement from the Regional Commissioner for Agricultural Development in Sousse, strong winds accompanied by rough seas are expected during these three days. The main objective of this decision is to preserve the safety of sailors and captains, while protecting their equipment and boats from the risks associated with bad weather. The ban will remain in effect until the weather conditions stabilize. The commissioner also called on all boat owners and sailors to strictly respect this ban and to follow the official updates and alerts issued by the competent services to ensure everyone's safety. This preventive measure highlights the importance of caution at sea and the responsibility of the authorities to avoid any accidents or material damage in extreme weather conditions.
