Tribute to Habib Bourguiba at the 8th Edition of the International Festival "Les Francophonies de Sousse"
As part of the 8th edition of the International Festival "Les Francophonies de Sousse" (November 13-16, 2025), which coincides with the "Novembre Numérique" event, the French Institute of Sousse will host a tribute evening to the memory of Habib Bourguiba, one of the founding pillars of institutional Francophonie, on Saturday, November 15. Entitled "Artificial Intelligence at the Service of Memory: Bourguiba Seen Through AI," this tribute evening proposes an artificial intelligence competition open to students, who are invited to imagine and design digital creations that bring back the voice and thought of the Tunisian leader. A jury will evaluate the presented projects before selecting three finalist creations. The public is invited to vote live to choose the best work among the three proposals retained by the jury. Combining memory, technology, and Francophone expression, this meeting highlights the ability of digital technology to make the past and future dialogue. Participants are invited to reinterpret, represent, or revive the figure of Habib Bourguiba from a modern and creative angle, through several themes: Bourguiba in AI mode, interactive virtual exhibition, "Habib Bourguiba" chatbot, historical rewriting, and semantic analysis of his speeches. The "Les Francophonies de Sousse" Festival is an event dedicated to promoting Francophone culture, bringing together poets, artists, actors, and theater and literature enthusiasts to celebrate Francophone diversity, language, and creativity.
