Sonia Ben Frej Elected as President of the Tunis Stock Exchange Board of Directors
Sonia Ben Frej, representing BH INVEST, was elected as the President of the Board of Directors of the Tunis Stock Exchange (BVMT) on Thursday, following the ordinary general assembly meeting of the institution.
According to a statement released by the BVMT, the new Board of Directors consists of Abir Zaied (SBT), Hicham Ben Romdhane (Attijari Intermédiation), Riadh Borgini (BNA CAPITAUX), Karim Bouzgarrou (STB Finance), Adel Glenza (UIB Finances), Ali Derouiche (MAC SA), Nacir Triki (Amen Invest), Talel Ayed (MCP), and Mehdi Bach-Hamba (UNION CAPITAL).
The BVMT also announced that two independent administrators will be called upon to chair key committees for the first time, as part of the new Board of Directors. Mohamed Abdennadher has been designated to chair the Audit and Risk Committee, while Mondher Khanfir has been tasked with chairing the Strategic Development Committee.
"These nominations reflect the Tunis Stock Exchange's commitment to consolidating its governance standards, strengthening its control and strategic support mechanisms, and aligning itself with international best practices in terms of transparency and performance," explained the BVMT. The composition of the Board of Directors is subject to approval by the Minister of Finance.
