Sudden Water Distribution Disruption in Tunis
The National Water Exploitation and Distribution Company (SONEDE) reported a sudden failure on the main 300 mm diameter distribution canal located on Meftah Saâdallah Street in Bab Saâdoun. This has caused disruptions and cuts in the distribution of drinking water since 7:00 am today, October 20, 2025, in the following streets and neighborhoods:
- Meftah Saâdallah Street
- Avenue des États-Unis
- Skik Ras Ettabia City
- Habib Bouguatfa Street
- Kairouan Street
- Lituanie Street
- Pologne Street
- Riga Street
- El Jerid Street
- Jéricho Street
- Téhéran Street In addition to the Meftah Saâdallah barracks, the Kairouan Street barracks (Blood Bank), and the Pologne Street barracks in Bab Saâdoun. Disruptions in water supply will also be observed in streets and neighborhoods of Bardo, including:
- Habib Bourguiba Avenue and its adjacent streets
- Habib Bouguatfa Street, El Henaïa area It is expected that the distribution will gradually return to normal from 5:00 pm (17:00) today.
