Temporary Water Supply Disruptions in the Tunis Governorate
The National Water Supply and Distribution Company (SONEDE) has announced temporary interruptions to the drinking‑water distribution network following a rupture on a main pipe (diameter 1400 mm) located at Place des Martyrs in the Tunis governorate.
- Start time: Tuesday, 24 February 2026, at 08:00 AM.
- Affected area: The delegation of Bir Mcherga, specifically the towns of Djebel Oust, Bir Mcherga, Bir Mcherga Gare, and their surrounding industrial zones.
SONEDE indicated that water service will be gradually restored from 22:00 (10 PM) once repair works are completed.
