The National Water Distribution and Supply Company (SONEDE) has announced a scheduled water outage that will take effect on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 9:00 PM, in several areas of the Ben Arous Governorate.
Affected Areas
The water outage will affect parts of the Boumhel region, the urban area of Mornag, and surrounding localities, including El Alia, Errissala, and Zawiyat Mornag.
Reason for the Disruption
According to SONEDE, this measure is part of the works to reinforce hydraulic resources in the Mornag delegation. Specifically, it involves connecting a new 2,500 cubic meter reservoir to the distribution network via a 600 mm diameter main pipe.
Work Schedule
The company emphasizes that the works will be carried out without interruption to ensure their completion as soon as possible.
Resumption of Water Supply
The progressive resumption of water supply is expected to begin at 7:00 AM on Friday, May 15, 2026, once the connection operations are finalized.
