UK Ambassador to Tunisia Visits Tozeur for the First Time
The UK Ambassador to Tunisia, Roddy Drummond, made his first visit to Tozeur, where he toured the facilities of Solecrypt, a pioneering British-Tunisian project that combines blockchain technology and energy transition. This initiative, considered one of the most ambitious in the field of renewable energy in Tunisia, aims to create jobs, promote sustainable investments, and position the country as an emerging player in green digital infrastructure. During his visit, the Ambassador also stopped at Ong Jemal, the famous filming location of the movie Star Wars. This iconic site, according to the diplomat, exemplifies the intersection of cultural heritage, cinematic history, and technological innovation in southern Tunisia.
