Hearing on Social Chapters of 2026 Budget Bill
This Thursday, November 20, 2025, the Finance and Budget Committees of the People's Representative Assembly (ARP) and the National Council of Regions and Districts (CNRD) will hear the Minister of Social Affairs regarding the social chapters of the 2026 budget bill.
The Chairman of the ARP's Finance Committee, Abdeljalil El Hani, indicated that the Minister of Social Affairs, Issam Al Ahmar, announced that the ministry is developing a bill aimed at developing the social security system, which will be submitted to Parliament at the beginning of 2026.
Key Provisions of the Bill
This bill includes the creation of a special fund for the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM). This fund will be independent and not linked to the transfers it receives from the National Retirement and Social Security Fund (CNRPS) and the National Social Security Fund (CNSS). The objective is to overcome the deficit suffered by the Health Insurance Fund.
