Snowfall Hits Northern Tunisia and Eastern Algeria
Several regions in northern Tunisia and eastern Algeria experienced snowfall today, Wednesday, November 26, 2025, as part of a persistent winter weather pattern.
According to Professor Amer Bahba, a Tunisian climate expert and natural risk researcher, snow fell for about an hour in the western highlands of Tunisia, particularly in Ghardimaou, El Ghourra, and Aïn Sultan, with limited quantities.
Winter Conditions to Continue
Winter conditions are expected to persist in northern Tunisia, especially in the far north, with rain and occasional snowfall forecasted in Aïn Draham, Tabarka, Bizerte, and other areas.
Bahba also indicated that light snowfall is possible in Aïn Draham during the early morning hours, with a high probability but no guarantee of 100%. Limited snowfall is also expected tomorrow in Thala and Makthar until Friday morning.
Snowfall in Algeria
In Algeria, the eastern part of the country is experiencing more significant snowfall, particularly in Constantine and south of Annaba in the evening.
