Tunisian Court Sentences Man to 20 Years for Attempted Arson of His Children
The criminal chamber of the First Instance Court of Tunis has handed down a 20‑year prison sentence to a man who tried to set fire to his three children in front of one of the capital’s courts, following a personal dispute.
The public prosecutor had charged the defendant with voluntary attempted murder and attempted arson in an inhabited place—offenses that Tunisian justice regards as extremely serious.
