On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the Sidi Bouzid University Hospital inaugurated a new blood bank unit. This unit is dedicated to the preparation of blood derivatives and platelets.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the project, with a total cost of 120,000 dinars, aims to meet the needs of citizens in the region.

This new structure will strengthen surgical services and the management of critical cases, while reducing patient waiting times. It is part of an approach to improve the quality and accessibility of care for all inhabitants.
