Decrease in Bronchiolitis Infections among Infants in Sfax
The rate of bronchiolitis virus infections among infants has decreased by 15 to 20% in the Sfax governorate. This reduction is the result of a three-year regional project aimed at reducing the number of cases, implemented by the Sfax Regional Health Directorate since last year, according to its director, Hatem Cherif.
In a statement made this Friday to the TAP (Tunis Afrique Presse), Hatem Cherif emphasized the importance of continuing awareness campaigns in public health facilities to reduce this rate by 30%. He also specified that several prevention campaigns have already been launched, targeting mothers, as well as pregnant women before and after childbirth.
