Chihia Municipality Organizes "Car-Free Day" in Collaboration with the Mediterranean Cities Network
The Municipality of Chihia, in partnership with the Mediterranean Cities Network, is organizing a "Car-Free Day" on Sunday, October 26, 2025, as part of the active and intelligent mobility program in the Sfax region, under the slogan "Chihia Breathes". This initiative aims to raise citizens' awareness of the importance of clean transportation modes and reduce pollution related to road traffic. The program includes:
- Educational workshops
- Sports and recreational activities
- Drawing contests
- Awareness-raising actions around sustainable transportation The event is inspired by similar experiences organized in Tunis, particularly on Habib Bourguiba Avenue, where the "Car-Free Day" has become an annual appointment promoting a healthier urban environment. This first edition in Chihia aims to encourage residents to adopt more responsible mobility and to reclaim public space in a different way.
