Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries Organizes National Day
The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries is organizing a national day this Thursday, September 18, to evaluate the 2024/2025 cereal campaign and prepare for the 2025/2026 season. The event will take place at the headquarters of the National Institute of Agronomic Sciences in Tunis.
Objective of the Event
This event aims to review the results of the last agricultural campaign, particularly in terms of yields and technical problems by region. It will also provide an opportunity to take stock of the logistical aspects of collection and storage, and to present the ministry's and specialized institutions' strategy for the next season, including the availability of certified seeds, fertilizers, and financing mechanisms.
Cereal Collection Data
According to data from the Grain Office, the quantity of cereals collected as of August 4 has reached 11.823 million quintals. The transportation of collected cereals intended for consumption has progressed by 96% of the total quantities, i.e., 11.115 million quintals.
