National Joint Campaign to Control School Supplies
A national joint campaign to control school supplies, conducted on September 2, 2025, resulted in the seizure of 9,016 units of various items (ballpoint pens, glue, modeling clay, watercolors, etc.) that did not comply with current regulations. The joint control teams from the departments of commerce, interior, customs, and health carried out this operation in wholesale and retail distribution channels.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Export Development, the campaign also led to the seizure of 13,526 subsidized notebooks for hiding and hoarding goods. In total, 263 offenses were recorded for:
- Failure to display prices
- Lack of purchase invoices
- Refusal to sell
- Hiding and hoarding goods
- Conditional sales
- Failure to declare office supply distribution activity
- Possession of products that do not comply with current regulations.
