Minister of Youth and Sports, Sadek Mourali, Inaugurates New Facilities in Monastir
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Sadek Mourali, visited the governorate of Monastir last Saturday, where he inaugurated several fully completed facilities and ordered the implementation of new projects. He also took note of the youth and sports initiatives proposed under the 2026-2030 regional development plan, aiming to strengthen existing infrastructure and boost youth action in the region.
Visit to Various Delegations
During his visit, Mourali traveled to the delegations of Bekalta, Moknine, Ksar Hellal, Sayada, Ouardanine, Jammel, and Monastir. He examined the progress of several major projects, evaluated the situation of existing facilities, and defined intervention priorities. The minister ordered the rehabilitation of several youth establishments, improved their operating conditions, and created new structures in areas lacking sports and cultural spaces.
Commitment to Supporting Youth and Sports
Mourali reaffirmed his department's commitment to supporting the youth and sports sectors in the region. Addressing the supporters of the Union Sportive Monastirienne, he announced that the Mustapha Ben Jannet sports complex would receive absolute priority to accelerate the completion of development works, including those on the main stadium. These works will be carried out in coordination with regional and local authorities to enable the stadium to host continental competitions and receive supporters in better conditions.
Modernizing Youth Houses
The minister emphasized the need to support and modernize youth houses, equipping them with adapted and attractive spaces, particularly in areas lacking leisure infrastructure, to make them true living spaces for young people.
Visited Facilities
The visit included the youth houses of Bekalta, Teboulba, Sayada, and Jammel, the Ksar Hellal sports complex, and the Ksibet El Mediouni municipal stadium.
Accelerating Project Completion
At each stage, Sadek Mourali stressed the importance of accelerating the completion of ongoing projects, in line with the state's orientations to reduce deadlines, simplify procedures, and ensure the delivery of infrastructure on time, for the benefit of the region's young people and athletes.
