Russia Accuses the United States and the Zionist Entity of Dragging Arab Nations into a Wider Middle‑East Conflict
Moscow, Thursday – In a statement released on Thursday, Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the United States and the “Zionist entity” of deliberately trying to pull Gulf Arab states into a larger regional war by provoking Iran and urging it to strike targets across the Middle East. The ministry said there is “no sign that either of these two powers will back down.”
“They have deliberately provoked Iran so that it would carry out retaliatory attacks against targets in certain Arab countries, causing human and material losses, which Russia strongly deplores,” the statement read.
“Thus, they are trying to involve the Arabs in a war that serves the interests of others.”
Since the United States and the Zionist entity conducted air strikes on Iran last Saturday, Iranian drones and missiles have repeatedly hit Gulf Arab nations—countries that are closely aligned with the United States and, in some cases, maintain close ties with Russia.
Key Points
- Accusation: Russia blames the U.S. and Israel for escalating tensions and dragging Gulf states into conflict.
- Provocation: Iran is said to have been provoked into launching retaliatory strikes against Arab targets.
- Consequences: The attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and material damage.
- Geopolitical Context: Gulf Arab nations are strategically linked to the United States, while some also enjoy strong relations with Russia.
This development adds another layer of complexity to the already volatile situation in the Middle East, raising concerns about a broader regional escalation.
