Arrest of Three Individuals from Sub-Saharan Africa in Connection with a Violent Robbery in La Soukra
The General Administration of National Security announced, in a statement released on Thursday, February 12, 2026, the arrest of three individuals from sub-Saharan Africa by security units. These individuals are suspected of being involved in a violent robbery that took place in the La Soukra area. This intervention follows the circulation on social media of a video sequence showing a woman being mugged at knifepoint by two individuals.
Rapid Investigation Despite the Absence of a Complaint
Thanks to the report and physical descriptions of the perpetrators, law enforcement was able to locate two young men matching the suspects, accompanied by a third person whose involvement was also established. It is worth noting that the victim, also from sub-Saharan Africa, had not filed a complaint with the police at the time of the arrest. After consulting the Ariana prosecutor's office, an investigation was opened for robbery with violence, and the three individuals were placed in custody.
Reinforced Security Operation in Ariana
This arrest took place as part of a large-scale security campaign targeting suspicious individuals among irregular migrants in the Ariana district. This operation resulted in the arrest of several other individuals for illegal residence on Tunisian territory.
