Public Consultation on the Rehabilitation of Railway Line No. 11
A working session dedicated to the public participatory consultation on the rehabilitation of railway line No. 11, in its section connecting Kalâa Seghira to Kairouan over 55 km, was held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, as part of the efforts to develop the transport system and improve interurban railway links.
Project Presentation
The participants presented the various components of the project, including:
- Traffic studies
- Economic, environmental, and social aspects
- Technical aspects Proposals and observations were also formulated to enrich the project dossier.
Governor's Statement
The governor of the region, Sofiene Tanfouri, recalled that the railway transport sector is strategic for supporting development projects, improving service quality, stimulating investment, and reducing isolation. He called on the concerned services to remove all obstacles to ensure the project's progress and success.
