Resumption of Ophthalmology Services at Jendouba Regional Hospital
The ophthalmology department at Jendouba Regional Hospital resumed surgical interventions on Saturday, after several years of interruption. More than 25 cataract surgeries were performed in a single day, thanks to the reinforcement of the department by specialist doctors and in collaboration with the Tunisian Association of Young Ophthalmologists, according to a statement released on Saturday evening by the Ministry of Health. According to the same source, this resumption illustrates the efforts to improve specialized health services in the region and to bring care closer to citizens, in addition to valuing the skills of young doctors and strengthening the right to equitable and accessible health care for all.
