Minister of Health Emphasizes Need to Accelerate Reproductive Medicine Services

The Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, stressed on Monday during a working session held at the ministry's headquarters with members of the National Commission for Reproductive Medicine and representatives of medical and technical staff, the need to accelerate the completion of procedures to start operating reproductive medicine units in Hédi Chaker University Hospital in Sfax and Fatma Bourguiba University Hospital in Monastir, according to a statement published by the ministry.

Ferjani emphasized during this meeting, dedicated to monitoring the file of support for reproductive health and accelerating the development of reproductive medicine services to bring them closer to citizens, the importance of continuing to implement various measures to support and equip reproductive medicine units, improve the quality of services, ensure the safety of care pathways, ensure equal access to treatments between different regions, and strengthen the training of medical and paramedical staff in this field.

Ferjani estimated that the establishment of a national electronic register of reproductive medicine is a significant step towards improving medical follow-up and making use of accurate data, contributing to the effectiveness of interventions and the strengthening of health planning, in addition to making decisions based on scientific data.
