French Company UR-Power Eyes Investment in Tunisia for Wastewater Treatment and Alternative Energy Production
The French company UR-Power, specialized in wastewater treatment and recycling, as well as the exploitation of these resources for alternative energy production, is seeking to invest in Tunisia and establish a model project in this field.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Minister Samir Abdelhafidh held a working meeting on Wednesday with Libero Mazzone, President of UR-Power. The meeting, attended by Jalel Tebib, Director General of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA), provided an opportunity for Mazzone to present the technical and technological characteristics of his company's activities, as well as the quantitative and qualitative advantages of its production.
Mazzone expressed his company's desire to invest in Tunisia and establish a model project in this specialty. The project aims to treat and recycle wastewater, producing alternative energy and high-quality water suitable for agricultural use.
In response, Minister Abdelhafidh welcomed UR-Power's interest in investing in Tunisia. He emphasized the ministry's and FIPA's willingness to support and coordinate with the company to ensure the success of its project. The minister highlighted the importance of this investment, which aligns with Tunisia's goals of promoting sustainable development and reducing environmental pollution.
